Frequently asked questions
General
A singing mantra is a spiritual practice where sacred sounds or phrases are chanted or sung with focused intention. It involves vocalizing the mantras in a melodic and rhythmic manner, often accompanied by music. Singing mantras promotes inner peace, healing, and spiritual connection, creating a vibrational resonance that can transform the mind, body, and spirit. It serves as a tool for meditation, prayer, and self-transformation, allowing individuals to cultivate positive energies and experience deep peace and unity.
Yes, absolutely! Many people feel that they cannot sing, which can be frustrating and even intimidating. However, the ability to sing is not solely determined by natural talent but is often influenced by mindset and belief. Through our Soulfood Retreats and our unique method, we have witnessed individuals who previously thought they couldn't sing experience remarkable changes in a short period of time. Our method helps participants tap into their innate vocal abilities, build confidence, and overcome self-imposed limitations. With guidance, practice, and an open mindset, you can discover and develop your singing potential, even if you've never sung before!
Singing is healthy for you as it promotes deep breathing, improves lung capacity, strengthens the diaphragm and abdominal muscles, releases endorphins that boost mood and reduce stress, enhances posture and body awareness, and can improve overall cardiovascular health.
Think of it as yoga for your lungs!
The answer is simple
The first time I arrived here by train, I was completely taken in by the beauty of it all, the mountains, the endless green, the cows grazing peacefully with their bells gently ringing in the distance
And then I walked into the hotel and felt it immediately, home
There is a warmth here that reminds me of Italy. The people are kind, welcoming, and genuinely care that you feel comfortable and held
This is why I keep returning.
Sooo… Expect to be spoiled!
Our daily flow includes two 2.5-hour sessions, one in the morning and one in the late afternoon before dinner.
In between, you’ll have time to rest, reflect, and enjoy the surroundings. Go for a walk, journal, take a nap, swim, or simply be and feel gratitude.
On Sunday morning after breakfast, we return to our special room for a final gathering. This time, we give voice to our gratitude, breathing it, sounding it, and letting it move through us in a shared, powerful closing.
During toning sessions, individuals explore different vocal tones and pitches, allowing their voices to freely express their inner emotions and experiences. This process can be deeply therapeutic, as it provides a means of releasing pent-up emotions and connecting with one's authentic self. Many people find toning to be a liberating and empowering experience. By vocalizing their emotions, which can be cathartic. Overall, toning can be a powerful tool for personal transformation, helping individuals let go of negativity and cultivate a more positive and authentic experience of themselves and their emotions.
